AAIMH NSW Event:

Reaching fathers through their phones

When

Wednesday, 3rd June 2026 | 7:00–8:00 AEST PM | Online

Presenter

Richard Fletcher

Overview

SMS4dads and SMS4DeadlyDads have enrolled more than 22,000 fathers, most stay the course of the messages which can begin at 12 weeks gestation and continue until 48 weeks post birth, depending on when they enrol. While we are satisfied with the level of parenting and mental health information that we provide the challenge that we see is to engage the men in reflecting on their relationship with their baby, in utero and once they are born. We are building a “Speaking for the Baby’ campaign through our texts and resources not only for the enrolled fathers but for their partners and the clinicians who support them.
