Infant sleep beyond ‘rules’: When one size does not fit al


ABOUT THE SEMINAR 

The AAIMH Victoria branch is pleased to offer the upcoming webinar focused on infant sleep. We are thrilled to have two exceptional presenters share about their experience and research in the area of infant sleep. 

PhD. candidate, Carly Grubb, will present on 'Beyond the rules: an integrative review of parent perspectives on safer shared sleep for babies and their families' followed by clinical psychologist and academic, Dr Brooke Van Zanden, who will present 'One Size Fits All? Understanding the experiences of breastfeeding families who discontinue behavioural sleep interventions ' 
 
PRESENTERS 

Carly Grubb
Carly is an experienced consumer advocate and a PhD student with the School of Health, University of the Sunshine Coast and her research project will focus on the co-design and testing of parent-facing educational resources, developed in collaboration with families, health professionals, and other key stakeholders. Carly is a parent representative on the Australian Government’s Parents and Carers Reference Group, is a member of the Raising Children Network Parent and Carer Panel and is an active participant in the Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership as part of her role with Little Sparklers. Carly also participated as the consumer representative for Little Sparklers during the co-design of the Queensland Clinical Guidelines for Safer Infant Sleep. 

Dr Brooke Van Zanden
Brooke is a clinical psychologist and senior lecturer at Federation University. Brooke has a special interest in perinatal and infant mental health. Brooke is currently leading research projects exploring the intersections between infant sleep, breastfeeding, parent-infant relationships.
