AAIMH QLD Reading Group - May 2026
Monday 11 May 2026
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Online
Please join the Queensland committee for the Australian Association for Infant Mental Health as we come together to discuss seminal papers
in the field of infant mental health. Our first paper on the 11th May is "Ghosts in the Nursery: A Psychoanalytic Approach to the
Problems of Impaired Infant-Mother Relationships", published in 1975 by Selma Fraiberg, Edna Adelson, and Vivian Shapiro.
Leading the discussion will be Senior Infant Mental Health Clinician Greta Gilmour. Greta is based at the Queensland Centre for Perinatal
and Infant Mental Health. She currently serves as the Queensland Representative on the National Board of AAIMH and holds the position of
Secretary on the AAIMH Queensland Committee. A Board-Certified Psychology Supervisor, Greta has also attained qualification as a
Circle of Security Intensive Supervisor following her accreditation as a Circle of Security Intensive Practitioner.
Her passion for infant mental health began early in her psychology training with Joe Coyne and Erin Atkinson through exposure to the Circle
of Security. Her work continues to be shaped by both classic and contemporary contributors to the field, including Donald Winnicott, Selma
Fraiberg, Arietta Slade and Alicia Lieberman.
